Carndonagh Community School makes legal history! On Friday, 18th October CCS was the first of only four Irish secondary schools selected nationwide to take part in a Supreme Court pilot project. This consisted of a questions and answers session via video conference hosted by two Supreme Court judges - the Chief Justice Mr J Frank Clarke and Ms J Mary Irvine. The CCS students were chosen from among TY Legal Studies and 5th Year & 6th Year Politics & Sociology classes. The objective of the project is to open up the Supreme Court to ordinary Irish citizens. It was both an enjoyable experience for all and certainly a day to remember!

Team Hope Shoe Box Appeal

A total of 65 boxes were collected by Andrew Garvey Williams, the co-ordinator for the Inishowen area. On behalf of the classes involved we would like to convey our sincere thanks to all those who donated to this worthy cause. These boxes are presently being brought to Romania by Ruth Garvey Williams. Some 65 children will now have a smile on their faces as they receive their gifts from Ireland!
