We went to a few tourist attractions around our local areas within the Inishowen region. Our trip took place on Tuesday, 3rd December 2019. We left the school at 9am and returned at 4pm. We visited places such as...
- Glenevin waterfall
- Mullin's Shop
- Wild Ireland
- Inishowen Gateway Hotel
- Swan Park
- Glenevin Waterfall
The waterfall is based in Clonmany. It was a 1km walk. The walk was beautiful and peaceful. The local scouting cubs had made little fairy houses and left them along the walk. It was really nice for tourists to see how the community is involved in attractions like the waterfall. The waterfall was gorgeous to look at and made a very good background for our class picture. It was definitely one of the best places we visited.
We went to Mullin's for our breakfast. There we could get hot food or breakfast baps from the deli. The shop was very handy and reasonably priced. Everyone was very happy to get food.
Wild Ireland is based in Burnfoot. It was a great experience as we saw many different animals that you can't see anywhere else in Ireland. We saw the Irish otter, Barbary Macaque monkeys, Irish wolf and American wolf and the Irish bears.
Inishowen Gateway Hotel
We got a tour around the Inishowen Gateway Hotel where we learned about the different departments in the hotel. We saw the annual Santa's Kingdom which they set up over Christmas for families.
We walked along swan park in Buncrana. The sites were absolutely gorgeous and the walk was so peaceful. This put a great end to our day...if only it wasn't so cold!
Our day was great! Everyone really enjoyed it and we didn't get soaked with rain which was definitely a huge bonus.
