On Thursday 27th of October, CCS held an appreciation evening for local employers. LCA, LCVP and TY all benefit hugely from the work experience element to their course. This was a wonderful opportunity to say thanks to the many employers who take in our students, show them the ropes and offer them opportunities to sample real world of work as opposed to learning about it in class.
Mr McGuinness and Elaine Farren both spoke about the benefits of work experience and thanked employers for their willingness to take our students under their wing. Two 5th year students, Manus Doherty and Anna Harkin also spoke at the event and explained how they personally benefitted from their work experience. Guests were treated to music on the night, performed by LCA student, Gyspy Collins on the piano, and to beautiful home baked goods, tea, coffee and a wine and cheese reception.
