Danske Bank 3rd XV Trophy QF
CCS 20 - 5 RBAI
CCS started very well with great handling skills which saw Conor McNally cross the line for the first try, converted by Cian O'Leary. CCS pushed on, showing great structure in defence and attack with Alex Duffy going over at the corner. HT CCS 12 - RBAI 0.
In the second half RBAI increased the tempo after making a few changes. CCS tackled low and contested rucks effectively. RBAI pounced on an error at the ruck and scored from the 22. CCS regained their structure and started to play more inside the RBAI 22, resulting in the pack recycling the ball for Ultan Doherty to score. The last score by Cian O'Leary was a penalty for not rolling away at the breakdown. A very tough game against a very good RBAI team. CCS are now in the semi-final v Belfast Royal Academy.
