Seachtain na Gaeilge / First Year Céilí

This year's St. Patrick's Day warm-up involved one of the mainstays of the First Year calendar - The Céilí. What started off as a chaotic hooley involving almost 200 pupils somehow morphed into a well-choreographed traditional dance. Great credit goes to the organisers - Ms. Lynn McGowan and Ms. Aoife Lynch - for holding it all together, with plenty of support from the Irish Department. Thanks also to the Music Department for the live performance, and to the team of Irish dancers who never fail to impress. Next up are the TY troop, along with the Inishowen Carnival Group at the main parade in Dublin. Look out for that photo album next week. For now, Happy St. Patrick's Day!
