Fun-Filled Day at VEX Robotics Competition

Students Enjoy a Fun-Filled Day at the VEX Robotics Competition in Letterkenny

A group of talented students from our school recently took part in the VEX Robotics Competition in ATU Letterkenny, a highly anticipated event that gave them the chance to showcase their robot and programming skills. The team, made up of Seamus, Nathan, Noah, Callum, and Roan spent the day immersed in the exciting world of robotics, working with their robot in an attempt to secure a top spot in the competition.

While the competition was fierce, and the students didn’t quite make it to the final rounds, they still had an incredible experience and finished in 13th place. Their robot performed admirably throughout the day, although they didn’t walk away with a trophy, the team’s spirits remained high.

One of the highlights of the trip was the opportunity to step out of the classroom for a day and apply everything they’ve learned in a real-world setting. The experience not only boosted their technical knowledge but also helped them build valuable teamwork and problem-solving skills.

While they didn't come out on top this year, the team is already looking ahead to next year's competition. With the lessons learned from this year’s event, they are motivated and eager to refine their robot and strategy for an even better performance in the future.

A big thank you goes to their teacher Mr Devlin who helped prepare the students for the event, and to the students themselves for their hard work and dedication. It’s clear that the VEX Robotics Competition in Letterkenny has inspired these young minds to push their limits and aim for even bigger successes in the years to come. Here’s to an even more successful season next year!
