School Chess Making Big Moves in Donegal

On a very warm and sunny Wednesday 9th April, six students from CCS competed in the Donegal Chess Tournament in St. Columba’s Comprehensive School, Glenties, Co. Donegal.
Thirteen schools in Donegal took part and the standard of playing was exceptional. CCS performed very well and finished as one of the top schools overall. A very big thank you to Victoria Boyd for all her hard work in organising the brilliant event.
A very well done to Roseanna McGonigle, Cara McLaughlin, Lorcan Doogan-Bellec, Olan Doogan-Bellec, Jack Harley and Ethan Doherty who did us all very proud.
