Stand Up Awareness Week - Monday 4th to Friday 8th November 2024.
National Stand-Up Awareness Week takes place across the nation November 4th to 8th. Our aim is to continue to make Carndonagh CS a safe and supportive environment for all LGBTQ+ people. A list of all our activities for the week can be found below.
We are planning the following activities in CCS:
● Spectrum - CCS LGBTQ+ club meet weekly / various events planned.
● Focus on LGBTQ+ issues in all Junior & Senior SPHE classes.
● 40-minute LGBTQ+ workshops for 1st Years facilitated by Donegal Youth Service. Date TBC.
● LGBTQ+ badges available for all students who would like one.
● LGBTQ+ stickers available for all staff.
● LGBTQ+ journal stickers available for all students who would like one.
● An LGBTQ+ flag for display in classrooms
● LGBTQ+ flag flown on our school grounds.
● LGBTQ+ stickers and wristbands offered to students across all year groups in SPHE classes.
● Poster competition and prizes.
