Communication skills are vital life skills. Yet in a world where communication channels abound, disagreement and misunderstandings are rife. This Young Changemakers programme gave the students the tools to communicate with intent and impact so that they can influence change in the world around them and bring people together with their ideas.
Communication skills are important for healthy relationships with family and friends, at school and later on at work. With Young Changemakers, students learn three important building blocks for powerful, confident communication – resilience, valuing the opinions of others, and learning to present in front of others. This is all wrapped up in a programme that encourages students to take to the public speaking stage with their ideas on how to bring about change in their families, in their schools and in their communities.
